Custom Feed Formulation
Wenger's Feed Mill, Inc. is a major feed supplier for laying hens, pullets, broiler chickens, turkeys, ducks, and swine in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, and Delaware. All feeding programs are design ed to provide the most economical nutritional package to ensure optimal performance and product quality. Both pelleted and meal feeds are available from most locations, and every order is custom made to customer specifications. Our quality control program ensures that all incoming ingredients and finished feeds meet our nutritional and quality specifications.
Wenger's also offers grain-purchasing services and proprietary market projections for customers who wish to attempt to stabilize their feed costs.
Wenger's operates in the Mid-Atlantic marketplace, helping customers to serve the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic corridor, representing more than 25% of the U.S. population, with eggs, poultry, and pork food products.
Transportation
 Currently operating 6 mills in Pennsylvania and Maryland, Wenger's services the Mid-Atlantic region. Wenger's operates its mills and dispatches trucks 24 hours a day, five days per week and Saturday until noon to ensure quick, courteous service. Wenger's owns and maintains both trailer and tri-axel trucks and has the ability to haul up to 28-30 tons with special permitted trucks.
Biosecurity is one of Wenger's highest priorities. The wheels and undercarriage are disinfected upon arrival and departure by on-board disinfecting units, and all biosecurity procedures are part of our ISO 9001 certification in Quality.

Technical Services
Wenger's currently keeps records on more than 15 million layers, and the technical services department provides services and management to more than 16 million layers. Wenger's applies extensive experience to analyze each record to fulfill the potential of every flock. In addition, custom feeding programs are designed to meet specific customer needs.
 Wenger’s produces its own expelled soybean meal for use in premixes or full feed. Traditional soybean meal is produced with hexane, a solvent that extracts the oil from the soybeans. Expelled soybean meal is produced by mechanically pressing the oil out of the meal. The final product contains higher energy levels than traditional soybean meal.

Soy Oil

Dutchland Farms is Wenger's egg production and services division. Dutchland operates egg production facilities and offers flock management services. Together with Wenger's customers, Dutchland works with the industry to produce the highest quality eggs.

 Wenger's Quality Assurance Laboratory provides Wenger's customers with a large selection of analytical services. In addition to analyzing feed ingredients for nutritional and amino acid content, the lab performs assays to monitor feed and feed ingredient mycotoxin levels. The WFM QA Lab also provides flock health monitoring using ELISA, AGP and plate agglutination testing methods.
For egg-producing customers, Wenger's lab offers a comprehensive egg testing service including shell breaking strength, Haugh Units, shell thickness, yolk color, and water testing. Microbiological testing rounds out the lab services with a full spectrum of analyses including Salmonella and E. coli. Many customers utilize the lab and the extensive experience of the lab staff to develop their own testing programs. The lab is staffed by a Pennsylvania certified poultry technician. In Addition, we also provide nutritional information using an NIR to aid nutritionists with up to date nutritional values for feed formulation.

 Wenger Feeds Pullet Services grows 12 million pullets a year and contracts pullet growing services from 60 independent family farms in Lancaster, Lebanon, Berks, Dauphin, Perry, Chester, Snyder, and Franklin counties in Pennsylvania. Wenger Feeds Pullet Services utilizes two service technicians and one vaccination service technician to supervise pullet growing, administer custom vaccination programs, monitor Wenger feeding programs, and perform regular flock service functions in conjunction with Wenger’s services department.

 Wenger Feeds Flock Services programs include both layer and pullet service and are designed to assist the producer or grower in daily flock management and enhance communication to maximize flock productivity.
Wenger Feeds Flock Services technicians have over 150 years combined experience in flock management, and as a company, Wenger’s has managed layer flocks for over 40 years.
Service technicians are available on-call 24-hours a day and provide a variety of services including: pullet scheduling, feeding programs, breed specific programs, lighting programs, vaccination service, health management, ventilation programs, written reports, and production records.

Wenger Feeds Egg Marketing Services (formerly Eastern Ag Services) is Wenger's wholesale egg marketing division. Wenger Feeds Egg Marketing Services markets nest run eggs from more than 6 million birds, which provides flexibility and greater opportunity in the best available markets. Currently, Wenger Feeds Egg Marketing Services is marketing eggs throughout the United States and in some foreign countries.
Eggs marketed by Wenger Feeds Egg Marketing Services are produced under guidelines from the Pennsylvania Egg Quality Assurance Program (PEQAP). Monitored by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, PEQAP is a voluntary industry program intended to minimize contamination in shell eggs. As a result, PEQAP participants are assuring the public that they are taking every reasonable precaution to assure the safety of shell eggs.
