First Shift
Muncy, PA
This individual works under the direction of the Mill Maintenance Supervisor in the area of Mill Maintenance, and works with the Plant supervisor at each locations
Essential Job Functions:
Perform preventative maintenance and routine service on all mill equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment problems.
Anticipate and plan for projected maintenance needs and prioritize tasks.
Maintain accurate records of inventories and completed maintenance.
Communicate effectively among all personnel.
Work effectively as a team member, assisting as needed.
Follow all safety rules and guidelines.
Function in an “on call” capacity.
Perform general clean up as needed and keep tools organized.
Travel to outside mills when needed for preventive maintenance.
Understand, utilize and navigate the Wenger System.
Qualifications Needed:
General mechanical background
Ability to manage time effectively
Ability to climb ladders and work in high places
Ability to work in confined spaces
Ability to perform heavy lifting (maximum 80 pounds)
Ability to work in dusty conditions
Basic computer skills
Basic electrical skills
Basic plumbing skills

Grain Risk Management Leader
Rheems, PA
The Grain Risk Management Leader is responsible for managing the full scope of grain procurement activities. This includes assurance that procurement is done to maximize returns while maintaining competitive pricing, managing transactions to follow company and customer risk management strategies, ensuring mill locations do not run out of product, and establishing long-term relationships with suppliers. The grain buyer will manage all aspects of grain risk management programs and some specialized cost plus programs.
Essential Job Functions:
Oversees grain buying program for all WFM mills.
Responsible for continued growth in WFM direct grain buying program.
Manages risk management programs (hedge, etc) to avoid loss and recommend new strategies.
Monitors & ensures egg programs needs are covered (grain) and executes egg costing program for select customers (grain).
Responsible for overall grain customer booking program; gives market information and recommendations for customer requests.
Recommend weekly grain pricing to Purchasing Manager.
When needed present grain market information to internal groups and customers.
Predict and capture opportunities in future markets, while limiting risk exposure.
Qualifications Needed:
Experience with grain futures and related risk management activities required.
Knowledge of supply-demand economics.
Knowledge of transportation costs and trends as it relates to risk management.
Ability to negotiate favorable contracts.
Ability to relate to needs of agri-business people and develop mutual trust and satisfaction with vendors and customers.
Ability to respect market directions and handle the pressure of market positions.
Ability to work in a team environment requiring strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Requires solid organizational skills, attention to detail and computer proficiency.
BS Degree in Ag Business or related degree preferred.

Quality Improvement Leader
Rheems, PA
This individual will conduct quality assurance activities in all areas including suppliers, the manufacturing process, transportation, and customer concerns. In addition, this person will utilize testing, monitoring, reporting, analysis, and corrective action tools to ensure customer satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions:
Serve as a customer advocate by identifying and assisting in resolving on-farm feed quality concerns including on-farm quality evaluations as needed.
Coordinate verification and documentation of equipment specifications and performance in mills.
Manage the ingredient testing and reporting process and work with the Purchasing Department to resolve quality issues of ingredients by individual supplier an assist in supplier audits.
Coordinate non-conformance process for manufacturing processes, feed, and ingredients.
Coordinate and conduct internal mill and transportation process quality audits.
Issue and follow-up on corrective actions requests including facilitating root cause analysis and corrective action as required.
Create, maintain, and review assigned procedures in the Wenger System and coordinate training of procedural requirements to affected employees as necessary.
Assist Quality Manager in compliance duties pertaining to FDA and other regulatory needs.
Provide supervision and oversight of laboratory testing and subcontract testing activities.
Determine and provide reports of feed quality data to document process capability.
Monitor daily drug reporting process.
Perform on-call duties on evenings and weekends based on a rotating schedule.
Attend local and national meetings related to job activities to remain knowledgeable of quality methods and new manufacturing, delivery and processing technology.
Qualifications Needed:
Process improvement and problem-solving ability
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including management and customers
Demonstrated ability to lead change
Excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors, verbal and written communication, group presentations, organizational skills and handling multiple tasks
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Minimum of five years experience preferred in agriculture or agriculture-related industry in the fields of quality, nutrition or manufacturing
General knowledge of feed manufacturing, pellet operations, mixing, and sampling techniques
Bachelor’s degree preferred in agricultural-related field with basic knowledge of agricultural practices and animal husbandry
Demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience
Experience in quality assurance preferred, including working knowledge of ISO programs
Understanding of statistical and mathematical concepts
Computer capable with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and communication tools
Ability to do lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion; bend, stoop, twist, and climb ladders
Valid PA driver’s license required
