Night Shift

This individual is responsible to load, transport and unload feed between the mill and the customer and ensure the care of company and customer property.

Essential Job Functions:
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection - assuring the safety of the vehicle.
Drive in a safe manner.
Load the correct feed from the appropriate bin, close bin and visually check the quality of feed and take sample of each order delivered - follow proper feed sampling procedures and wear required safety equipment.
Deliver feed to correct farm and bin number in a timely and efficient manner.
Report, clean up and properly dispose of feed spills.
Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle and inform supervisor of vehicle problems.
Maintain a neat and clean personal appearance.
Maintain proper company image on highway and on farm (e.g., proper equipment maintenance and attire).
Report any problems observed in dealing with customers.
At times, deliver loads of a Gross Weight of 95,000 lbs.
Perform all duties to assure high quality CSA scores are maintained.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Needed:
Valid (Class A) CDL and good driving record
Endorsements “N” Tank; Air Brakes
Ability to handle flexible hours at times
Successful completion of DOT Physical and Drug screen
Ability to work in dusty environment
Ability to handle “on the road” situations that develop from time to time (snow - ice-accidents)
Ability to work at 15’ heights consistently
Ability to climb ladders consistently

Assistant Transportation Supervisor

Night Shift

Spring Glen, PA

This individual will supervise FT/PT nightshift drivers under the direction of the Transportation Supervisor, in order to achieve the most efficient and effective deliveries in a safe manner.

Essential Job Functions:
Work with the Rheems, Mount Joy, Hempfield, and Massey nightshift Supervisor on daily operational issues.
Oversee the assigned group of drivers.
Adhere to, manage, reinforce and enforce safety and quality policies and procedures to minimize incidents of injury, reduce amount of recordable injuries, and improve overall quality of operations.
Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations.
Assist in training of new team members.
Work on projects with Transportation Supervisor.
Meet needs of equipment and drivers on a daily and/or weekly schedule in coordination with the
Transportation Supervisor/Dispatch/WFM shop.
Prepare requested reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Other specific assigned tasks:
Ride along with new team members when completing 30 and 60 day reviews, as well as riding with seasoned drivers throughout the year and documenting each ride along.
Coordinate loadout sweeping.
WFM Spring Glen fuel island inspections.
Show quarterly driver videos to all dayshift and nightshift drivers at Spring Glen, Shippensburg, and Muncy.

Qualifications Needed:
Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid (Class A) CDL license with tanker endorsement and airbrake.
Ability to multitask and provide accurate results.
Ability to work at heights of up to 15 feet.
Ability to help with light mechanical repairs as needed.
Ability to lift 80 pounds on occasion while attaching a cyclone on a tri-axle.
Good computer skills, including MS Word and Excel

Essential Job Functions:

Receive daily shipments of grain and other ingredients by rail and truck.
Control and monitor feed production through the computer center.
Effectively operate the pellet mill.
Perform the function of "hand-adds,” the manual addition of feed ingredients.
Clean mill facility when working conditions and time permit.
Perform general mechanical duties as determined by the Team Leader.
Monitor ingredient inventories.
Maintain bag inventories, stacked and orderly.
Other duties determined by the Team Leader.
Maintain usage reports and operational records as needed.
Navigate, use and understand Wenger System as appropriate.

Nutrition Services Manager

This individual is responsible for all aspects of the corporate nutrition including creation and management of feeding programs, internal and external technical support, feed and additive research, and new product development.
Essential Job Functions
Maintain an accurate ingredient analysis program and nutrient matrix for proper formulation and quality assurance.
Create and maintain feeding programs based on customer objectives and sales parameters.
Supervise, evaluate, develop and motivate department personnel to achieve requirements for nutritional services.
Manage the new product development process from the input of ideas to the launch of new products, including original and combination ingredients.
Interact with contracted and customer nutrition consultants to ensure customers’ needs are met.
Direct the technical training of field sales to ensure the group meets its goals and objectives.
Provide or coordinate technical support for other departments as needed.
Work closely with key customers to ensure that their performance goals are met.
Disseminate technical information – internal and external.
Attend local and national scientific meetings to maintain current knowledge base.
Qualifications Needed
Ph.D. in animal nutrition with a preference for monogastric
Three to Five years in the field of nutrition with exposure to sales
Proven technical writing and presentation skills
Good interpersonal, as well as written and oral communication skills
Personnel management experience desired

JD Edwards Support Analyst

Rheems, PA

The JD Edwards Support Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization in its use of JDE software.  This individual will also be responsible for evaluating user requests for information, documenting and creating reports, and evaluating new functionality in JDE.

Essential Job Functions:
Test new programs and processes involving the JDE software
Participate in software upgrade projects
Maintain the JDE training documentation
Work with other IT team member on implementing additional JDE features as required
Provide technical and functional support for team members using JDE, and recommend/develop improvements to support issues.
Coordinate training for new users and continual education
Create design specifications and custom reports
Take ownership of IT related JDE setup/procedural tasks.
Continually seek and identify new and innovative process and system improvements

Qualifications Needed:
Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Arts or Science – a business or computer related field is preferred, but not required
3+ years of JD Edwards experience with experience in Manufacturing, Distribution, and/or Financials modules

This individual will be responsible for managing the various aspects of our workstation and telecommunication technologies. In addition, this individual will help support the process control system technology at all manufacturing locations.
Essential Job Functions:
Manage the setup and deployment of new workstations
Perform yearly inventories of IT equipment at remote locations and reconcile to equipment database
Ensure workstation software remains compliant to set standards
Deploy and help support anti-virus systems
Administration and support of telecommunication lines and devices at all site locations
Provide support for the corporate phone system
Provide end-user technical support on PC’s, tablets, phones (cell and data), printers, etc.
Provide support to process control systems used in manufacturing locations

Intermediate level of PC/LAN application knowledge
Understanding of virtualization concepts (direct VMWare experience preferred, but not required)
Basic level of Windows server knowledge is preferred, but not required
Understanding of telecommunication principles and technologies
Understanding of anti-virus principles and methods for recovering from intrusions.

Director of Project Management

Rheems, PA

This individual has primary responsibility for leading the execution of major capital projects and has broad authority within company guidelines to commit the company on matters of cost and schedule.  Additionally, this person is responsible for the overall execution of the work on each project and all aspects of resource management related to each project including assigning work, choosing team members, monitoring effort, and evaluating performance, with a goal of fulfilling all project requirements.

Essential Job Functions:

Coordinate with company leadership to determine facility needs and assess risks inherent with each project.  Evaluate and develop a clear understanding of the expectations on each project through effective relationship management and resource evaluation and assignment.

Lead project planning efforts to support successful project implementation and completion, including, but not limited to, staffing projections and planning, project budgets, project bidding processes, project scheduling, logistics planning, and subcontractor evaluation/procurement.        

Manage and monitor project processes and procedures to ensure company standards are being met with regard to quality, safety, and environmental requirements. As needed, conduct site visits and provide coaching to team members. Collaborate with company leadership and others as assigned, to regularly evaluate the processes by which projects are executed.

Work closely with the project team to evaluate project costs to date and develop/maintain an accurate forecast of project costs and profitability.

Regularly evaluate the project schedule and implement adjustments necessary to maintain or recover the required goals/milestones.

Lead project communication efforts among the project team and throughout the organization as needed, including regular reports to the President and other stakeholders on the status of each project’s schedule performance, financial projection, and risks affecting overall performance.

Qualilfications Needed:

Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in relevant discipline

Five years or more experience preferred as project manager for business development

Five years experience leading a project team of varied or diversified levels of experience and capability

Knowledge of real estate/land acquisition, construction, planning and scheduling

Agricultural background preferred

Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and other contract documents

Exceptional management and leadership skills

Financial management experience of department operations and project profitability

Proficiency with Microsoft Office software systems, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Current valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to company sites.
